Michigan Mechanical Refrigeration License – Books Only Package

The 2015 Michigan Residential Code (MRC) is the state-specific adaptation of the 2015 International Residential Code (IRC), published by the International Code Council (ICC), tailored to regulate residential construction in Michigan. It governs one- and two-family dwellings and townhouses not more than three stories above grade.

The 2021  Michigan Mechanical Code (MIMC) is a state-specific adaptation of the International Mechanical Code (IMC), tailored to meet Michigan's unique climate, energy goals, and safety standards. It governs the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.

The ASHRAE Standard Safety Standard for Refrigeration Systems 15-2022 & 34-2022 specifies requirements for the safe design, construction, installation, and operation of refrigeration systems. The 2022 edition is the largest update ever and includes major changes to the use of non-A1 refrigerants, new overpressure protection, new piping requirements, updated volume and refrigerant charge limit calculations, refrigerant detector/detection and mitigation actions and more.
