About Nick Capachi
Authored by Nick Capachi, a seasoned professional with over 50 years of experience in the construction industry. Capachi has worked extensively as a contractor, foreman, and superintendent on various excavation, road, and pipeline projects, including interstate highways, sewer trunk lines, subdivisions, industrial and commercial developments, and airport runways. He is licensed in both general engineering and sanitation systems contracting and has been an active member of Operating Engineers Local 3 for over 20 years.
Co-authored with his son, John Capachi, the handbook combines their nearly 70 years of on-the-job experience to provide practical guidance on excavation and grading techniques.
