Book Overview

The Electrical Wiring Residential, 21st Edition offers a fully updated, comprehensive guide to residential electrical wiring aligned with the 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC®).  Drawing on decades of classroom and field experience, the authors walk the reader step‑by‑step through the essential tasks and responsibilities of a modern residential electrician, whether working in new construction or retrofit scenarios. The narrative is deliberately reader‑friendly: clear explanation, minimal unnecessary technical jargon, and strong connection between the NEC code requirements and real‑world wiring practices. Visually, the book is rich with full‑color illustrations, diagrams, and fold‑out wiring plans at the back of the volume to enable hands‑on practice interpreting wiring layouts and applying code requirements. It also embraces dual‑unit measurement (English and metric), offers a Code Cross‑Index for quick reference of NEC articles, and includes comprehensive coverage of safety standards from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
