Frederic P. Hartwell is a seasoned electrical professional and the author of the American Electricians’ Handbook, 17th Edition (2021). He is a retired working electrician and serves as the president of Hartwell Electrical Services, Inc. Hartwell is certified by the International Association of Electrical Inspectors as a Certified Master Electrical Inspector. He holds a senior position on the National Electrical Code (NEC) Code-Making Panel 9, which focuses on the installation of electrical equipment. Additionally, Hartwell is the principal author of McGraw-Hill’s National Electrical Code Handbook, now in its 30th edition.
